Big Al’s Burgers & Dogs serves up all American classic type of grub like gourmet hot dogs, creative cheeseburgers and hand-cut fries. This local Fort Collins establishment "keeps it in Colorado" by sourcing custom made hot dogs out of Denver, as well as sporting a re-purposed decor created by salvaged materials from other local Colorado structures that have been deconstructed. Plus, Big Al's supports the local Fort Collins community by covering all of its walls in local art work. In this week's community connections we had a great time getting to know Big Al's a little better after speaking with Cody Charles, GM of the restaurant.

What do you love about Fort Collins?
There are many things I love about Fort Collins, but what makes Fort Collins home to me is the town culture and location. The vibe in Fort Collins is unlike anywhere else. It’s a beautiful, well maintained city with lots of energy! Local art, music, and food saturate the streets of Fort Collins along with never-ending mountain views, rivers, parks, and hiking/biking trails; Fort Collins is simply an easy place to love.
What are some of your favorite things to do in Fort Collins?
A few activities I like to do in Fort Collins are spending time downtown and going to the mountains. The Fort Collins culture is very evident in the downtown district, I enjoy the art and amazing food and the mountains offer many action-packed experiences and memories!
What do you want visitors to experience at Big Al's?
Guest feedback and guest experience while eating at Big Al’s means the world to me. I want all visitors to experience the happening Fort Collins culture, a friendly and helpful staff, and an unforgettable meal. We create an experience that is fun and fulfilling!
Tell us about yourself...
I grew up in Yuma, a small town in Northeastern Colorado. Growing up, there wasn’t much to do. Sports became very competitive at a young age for us. That competitive nature has helped me many times throughout life and continues to keep my team and I motivated!
Anything else you’d like to add?
