Join us on April 26th, 2024, from 12-2:30pm as Colorado State University's American Sign Language (ASL) Club proudly hosts an event at City Park to commemorate Earth Day. In a unique celebration of Deaf Culture and Community, we will plant a tree symbolizing growth, unity, and the interconnectedness of sign language with environmental consciousness. This event aims to foster a sense of community among ASL users and learners while promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. As we dig into the soil to plant a tree, we also aim to cultivate a deeper understanding of the intersectionality between ASL and environmentalism, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and collaboration in creating a more sustainable future. Join us in embracing diversity, fostering eco-friendly practices, and celebrating the bond between Deaf culture and our shared commitment to a greener world.
