“Zach approached me about his concept for ‘Life of a House Plant’ and his role in leading NOCO’s ROGUE show this year. We felt like it was the right time for the company to explore this kind of growth. Previously, I have worked collaboratively with NOCO members, and NOCO has presented outside guest choreographers‘ work. However, this will be the first time a NOCO member creates and directs his own show. Creating evening-length work is a significant marker for any emerging choreographer, and I could not be more proud that NOCO can provide this opportunity to someone in our community. It’s always been a dream of mine to create a platform for artists to grow, showcase, and otherwise realize their talents via NOCO. Seeing company members grow into leadership roles this year has been a flourishing manifestation of our commitment to growth, diversity, and sustainability. Zach’s show is a benchmark of success for us as a company, and I’m excited to see the show in the audience.”
